Kathleen Tonks
I have had a love of the arts of all kinds for most of my life. I have attended many classes over the years trying the various mediums of pastels, acrylics, watercolour and my favourite oils. I can’t resist the inspiration of seascapes and landscapes that New Zealand gives.
Rowena Hart
For many years, I have been working in a number of different mediums. Metal, wool, wood and now mainly painting.
I worked at Ashford Handicrafts for over 30 years so had the opportunity to travel to many countries to teach weaving and felting and to explore many art forms.
I spent quite some time in Japan where I came to love their simple and intoxication style.
I like to use symbols, birds and people in my painting and blue seems to keep becoming the dominant colour.
I hope you enjoy these works.
